Ponds are more than just backyard decorative additions. They have their own small biosphere with fully set aquatic life – both animal and plant – as well as a particular amount of its own environment. This doesn’t mean however, that they can be left alone without some maintenance. Pond maintenance is necessary for sustaining the life it contains, and the delicate balance that must exist in its environment.

Through extensive research activities, AlgaeOut has been developed to include 14 strains of bacteria which have been selected for their ability to perform under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, and to biodegrade organic material comprised of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. AlgaeOut also contains a strain of lactobacillus that tends to lower pH levels.

AlgaeOut is a biological product and works best in an aerated pond. It contains a cyanobacteria specifically formulated to be effective in controlling algae and duckweed specifically enhancing water biology in lagoons used for raising fish and shrimp.

Packaging is individual water soluble pouches packaged into a protective and resealable plastic bag. There are 25 (8 ounce) plastic bags per container. Simply toss bags into the water at equidistant points around the water body after placing +25% of the bags near the aeration source.

Application rate is 10 lbs/acre (twenty 8 oz. pouches) each season. You are buying 12.5 lbs. of AlgaeOut, more than enough to effectively treat one acre per season. We recommend you purchase enough AlgaeOut for 2 seasons.
